What to Expect

Breast Cancer Network Australia’s (BCNA) 2023 Field of Women will be held at the MCG on Sunday 20 August.

It will take place at 12.45pm on match day,  prior to the Round 23 AFL Pink Lady match between Melbourne and Hawthorn at 3.20pm.  Please arrive early to collect your event day gift pack and visit the family festival and tribute field.  MCG entry gates for Field of Women will open at midday.

The main ceremony will profile BCNA through a live and virtual experience that showcases the strength, courage and emotional journey that everyone affected by breast cancer goes through.

There will be many ways to get involved in this wonderful event, including a family festival in Yarra Park, featuring a BCNA Mini-Field of Women tribute, and many Victorian and national landmarks will ‘light up the night’ pink across the weekend to show their support. For those who can’t make it to Melbourne, the national broadcast of the AFL match between Melbourne and Hawthorn will feature highlights from the Field of Women ceremony on Channel 7.
